After years of buying raffle tickets for a variety of things, I connected this last Saturday at a car show raffle. Got a call after I left that I had won a Henry Golden Boy .22 Lever action. I went and picked it up at a local gun dealer today, they even paid the BG check.

Got it home and took it out of the box and was pretty impressed with the fit and finish, the balance and the way the action worked. It was too damn hot to shoot it today, but I oiled it up and will put a few rounds through it in the morning. Now I can go get my black powder pistol and use my gun budget up for the year.

My coworker is curious how many tickets you bought. Hes 1 of the dudes who put this raffle on. I showed him the pic this morning and he confirmed....a few dudes from work bought tickets for this raffle.

I love my Golden Boy in 17HMR. Dang flat shootin'!

I have an unfired 22Mag. that I can't bear taking out and putting a round through.

As with others, I do the raffles too. So far I have just been contributing to their cause (I have not won anything yet).

My coworker is curious how many tickets you bought. Hes 1 of the dudes who put this raffle on. I showed him the pic this morning and he confirmed....a few dudes from work bought tickets for this raffle.

Whatever $ 20 got me, I don't remember the price. I did spend another $ 20 on the general raffle and did not win anything, and another $ 20 on the Trager at the fire department breakfast, and no luck there either. I know most of those guys, they put on a great event and bring in a lot of money to support various things in the community.
