Oregon's Only No Compromise Gun Rights 01.31.14 GUN REGISTRATION BILL SCHEDULED? The anti-rights group "Ceasefire Oregon" sent an email today saying that Prozanzki's gun registration bill SB 1551 is scheduled for a hearing Thursday Feb. 6 at8am. As of now, thereis no official confirmation and the bill isnot scheduled on the committee calendar, so we cannotconfirm this date. However, Senator Michael Dembrow, an anti-gunner who ison the committee, recentlystated that heexpected a hearing early in the session so thismaybetrue. If Ceasefire iscorrectthen clearly Prozanski is providing them with inside information that he hasnotprovided to the public. Ethically questionable but not a surprise. Oddly, Senator Alan Bates (DemocratDistrict 3) said in a radio interview today(KMED, TheBill Meyer Show) thehe did not think the bill would getoutof committee. Healso said he didn't read the bill or know whatwasin it, so don'tputtoo much faith in anything hesays. We'll keep you posted on anyofficial confirmation, butpleasekeep the heaton. Was in a hurry, so just cut and pasted quickly. Had to get some packages mailed to some grandkids. You can get your own alerts by going to OFF and subscribing Thanks for fixing it Chee-To Have sent several emails trying to get Kevin to put it directly here.
And You can select all addresses by clicking on the top or bottom name in each column and then hold down the shift key while clicking the name at the opposite end of the list. Do in both columns as well. Name email and state is all that is required.
Still nothing on the Senate Judiciary schedule and all other bills have been assigned a day and time. They do meet regularly at 8:00 am Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in 343. The Oregon Alliance to Prevent Gun Violence has a Facebook event page about it. (FB event link courtesy Mr. Freeman) It appears that they have at least 23 people who have Facebook accounts going with who know how many others planning to attend, we need to meet and exceed this. Does anyone else find it odd that SB 1551 is the only bill that is currently unscheduled and that supporters of such a controversial train wreck of a bill were informed when the bill is not scheduled? I don't know if this is actually against any law here, but at the very least it is dishonest and is a perfect example of dirty politics.
I wouldn't even credit the little twerps with dirty politics - it's just sheer cowardice. This is SO typical of the Left - they have to carry out their agenda in secret, scurrying around in the dark like the cockroaches they are. They're scared to death of confrontation - unless, of course, they're in a huge mob of their own kind. (Ever notice how they always show up for these "events" marching together in a solid phalanx, all wearing the same cute little buttons or carrying the same printed signs or insignia or whatever? - which, by the way, is the hallmark of fascism...). I'd be surprised if they DIDN'T try to "hide" a meeting notice so that only their fellow cockroaches know about it. more here: http://www.northwestfirearms.com/or...02-03-14-off-facebook-update.html#post1052183
