454 casull
The .454 Casull (/kə'sul/)(pronounced ka-SOOL) is a firearm cartridge, developed as a wildcat cartridge in 1957 by Dick Casull and Jack Fullmer. It was first announced in November 1959 by Guns & Ammo magazine. The basic design was a lengthened and structurally improved .45 Colt case. The wildcat cartridge finally went mainstream in 1997, when Ruger began chambering its Super Redhawk in this caliber. Taurus followed with the Raging Bull model in 1998 and the Taurus Raging Judge Magnum in 2010.
The .45 Schofield and .45 Colt cartridges can fit into the .454's chambers, but not the other way around because of the lengthened case (very similar to the relationship between .38 Special and .357 Magnum cartridges, as well as the .44 Special and .44 Magnum cartridges).

Just picked up a batch of ammo from another member and my fault for not searching through all the loose ammo in the box (there were over 300 rounds loose) and these didn't belong. So I'm just gonna put them up for sale or trade. Not sure what the grain is but looks to be all factory loads and...
A very mildly used Taurus Raging Hunter revolver, chambered in 454 Casull. It also shoots the much lighter-recoiling (and less expensive) 45 Long Colt. It’s in the awesome, cool-looking, and highly-sought-after “Matte Black Oxide” finish; hard to find these days in retail and online!
The gun...

Stop me if this is a repeat of a repeat. I'm looking for a very specific revolver but darn if it's not near impossible to find. The one in question is a Ruger super redhawk Alaskan in 454 casull, black/blued finish. I saw one in .480 Ruger on this site a while back. Close but no cigar. And then...
I’m in the Clackamas area. Trade ad so no price listed. Just not using this one much with my tendinitis. I traded into it and ran about 100 45Colts through it myself. No idea of actual round count however. Nice trigger on it too! Comes with a Burris 1.5X-4X scope and Ruger Rings. No box...
