Ruger LCP Max in either a Desantis Superfly, the pocket holster that Ruger provided, or with an attached gun clip clipped onto my belt with my LCP Max between my belt, and my pants.
The Desantis Superfly is what I use for my daily carry DB9. Excellent holster! I use a different Desantis without the fly for my gen 1 LCP.

My normal EDC .38 snub IS my "taking a walk" gun.

But during hunting season I might also carry my feather light Vickers boxlock 12-bore loaded with classic 2-1/2" paper cased light game loads assembled with traditional felt and card wads - no plastic! - loaded with 1-1/8 ounces of nickel plated 6s at 1100 fps. Available from RST.

Walk in town: Glock 43X with PSA 15 round mags (2 of them)
Walk in the woods/desert: Add to the above a North American Arms Black Widow 5 round revolver in 22MAG, with 5 rounds of snake shot

Very nice double @Outpost75. :)

In a similar vein, in late 2023 I acquired a Zabala Hermanos, SA Royal Crown model SxS, in 10-gauge (3½") for similar. (Though light it is is not. 🤭 )

If I'm literally just going for a walk somewhere in the vicinity of my home, it's usually a S&W 642 simply because it is the handiest and I can quickly retrieve it from the hand vault. It's a little beat up from years of accompanying me during bow season. If it's for a walk in the woods when I'm not bowhunting, it's usually a S&W 629 Classic 5". Although, my recently acquired RIA 1911 10mm has been vying for its share of carry time.

My out walking gun used to be a Single Six in 22 lr. it was for targets of opportunity, self defense, taking an occasional squirrel, etc... I rarely saw other people while out walking. But starting in the 90's and early 2000's I started running into Pot grows, and Meth dumps. I upped my carry to 38, 9mm, and 45.
The larger calibers are not near as much fun to take pot shots or shoot at small game. And I then needed to add ear plugs. DR

Planned walk TRP in Hill People Gear Kit Bag. Plenty of room for mags, phone, wallet, power bars, light of god, dog treats, poop bags, and grenades.

poop bags, and grenades.
As I've been studying the Second Temple Pseudepigrapha and the Dead Sea Scrolls quite a bit lately, the name Belial produced a mental image of a devilish fellow going for a hike and lobbing poop bags and grenades along the way. 🤭

Don't ask don't tell....:)

I'm on my 3rd CC renewal so I started carrying somewhere in the 201X. I've gone from my first cheap carry, the compact Bersa BP9cc to full size 1911, boat anchor S&W 6909, Sigs and a bunch of 40 cals, back to the BP9 as a mainstay for years.

I can comfortably wear it all day, drive, walk and usually have to remind myself it's there. With 9 total rounds instead of 16-17, that small amount of weight makes a difference throughout the day and with bad knees it's noticeable.

Thanks in large part to people on this site advocating to always carry, I usually find some solutions to having a firearm on me. Never needing to use it and having it has actually made me avoid some altercations over the years. Even on walking trails with people and their animals.

Right now the combo is an SP101 Match Champion with 38 Special and a speed loader in a fanny pack. Cold Steel Espada in the pocket. I can draw the Espada in about half a second. Revolver is probably 2-3 seconds. I carry on my weakside so its a cross draw. Worst case scenario I could grab the Ruger with my weak hand (left), Espada rides un the right front pocket. The Espada doubles as a machete if on poorly maintained trails, and I would probably grab it over the gun if a 2/4 legged critters was ontop of me or my kids. I have over a 7 foot wingspan so the Espada is a serious contender up close.

Ruger LCP Max… nearly as light and small as the older single stack LCP (even fits the same pocket holster), but either 10+1 or 12+1 capacity.
