I have a pretty unique item. A WWII era pillowcase made from parachute silk. Wartime rationing caused many fabrics, especially silk, to be pretty scare. GI's would save silk from their parachutes to send home to their lovers for everything from pillowcases to wedding dresses.
This is a nice example that just needs a good cleaning. Silk is in great condition. Heavily embroidered. Contains a poem to the GI's wife and what appears to be either stitched B-24 or B-25 bombers.
Great WWII history/aviation display.
$30 shipped.
