Wolf small rifle primers for small pistol primers

I've got a bunch of Wolf small rifle primers (two types: brass and copper) that I'd like to trade for Small Pistol primers.

Dumb question but what caliber does the small primers load up to? I have lots of small pistol primers

Most anything that has a 223. sized case head. Most of the specialty Bench Rest and PPC cases use small primers also. it just depends.

There have been many guys on AR15.com's reloading forum using the regular small rifle primers as small pistol primers with great suscess... as long as you arn't trying for max loads and work up your load you should be fine using those.

Yep, really there is no notable pressure differences in same charge reloads between small pistol, magnum small pistol and small rifle primers. The main difference is the small pistol are the softest hence easier to set off, followed by the magnum.and then the small rifle being the hardest....if using in a factory firearm without reduced power springs all will work quite reliably. The things you research and learn while bored is amazing
