Very interesting. Thanks Bruce! I'm going to continue researching about it.White & Wills was a hardware/sporting goods store in Chicago pre-1900. Many hardware stores sold guns with their names on them, instead of the
makers name.
There may be more markings not visible externally.
I looked at several lists of "Store Brand Guns" but they were all for a more modern era. For example:https://www.nramuseum.org/media/940938/store brand crossover list.pdf
