Where does your body go after death

So I was in Iraq when the four Blackwater dudes' bodies were burned and hung from a bridge in Fallujah. That has stuck with me.

I don't want any trauma for my family.

Wife and I have contracted with the Neptune Society, pre-paid cremation, nice urns. Church has a couple spots in the "columbarium" ready (also pre-paid), the plaques already have our names and birthdates on 'em, just need those pesky end dates on 'em...we'll be next to my brother and my Mom. Dad's ashes were spread over his favorite fishing spots.

I'll be spreading a few of my late stepfathers ashes in Autzen Stadium this year. Probably against the policies but I don't care. That was the first place we connected after marrying my mother and our relationship became very close as we both aged. My son and I are huge Duck fans because of him and will carry on the tradition of beer and football . RIP Mr Bradley! My body on the other hand, I'd like to be stuffed and placed in the living room with a beer in my hand, would be creepy at first but people will eventually get over it.

Earth. For tbe most part, a human dies and becomes a part of the biomass on Earth. I don't rightly know how many, if any human remains have actually stayed in orbit or left the gravity pull of the Earth.

Edit. Apparently Eugene Shoemaker (the guy who lent his name to the famous comet along with Levy) is the only human whose remains are buried on the Moon.

There is Memaloose Island out in the Columbia by Hood River/ The Dalles where the Indians left their dead to be eaten by vultures. Set foot on it a few time creepy as hell. Big open pits carved in the basalt.

It's in my top 5 for sure. I was playing hooky at the time from work and when I exited the theater I remember thinking that I just saw one of the great film classics, and I was right.

nearing my 75th birthday i am thinking about what to do with my remains after i die. i don't like the idea of an expensive funeral, or creamation. so what are my other options? any ideas?
