What's with protective covers for your scope??

THAT ^^ Is a VERY good point!

I have and AR and an AK, both with removable mount scopes. I doubt I would have gone to cleaning the rifle with that nice new scope just sticking up there unprotected, but appreciate that input for sure.

A couple plastic bottles.
Cut the bottoms off, and attach some stretchy cord.
Done

Use what's left of the bottles as funnels!!
