HAHAHA YOU COMPLAINED. HOW HILARIOUS.Clear enough?
Managing one wife is enough, I don't think I could handle more.

You listen carefully locobob. What he says @2:40 mark, is that the MA AWB is an extension of the Assault Weapons Ban, meaning the federal assault weapons ban.
And, as clearly pointed out else where, was written and passed by the MA legislature in 1998, and signed into law by Romney's democrat governor predecessor.
here: Session Laws: CHAPTER 180 of the Acts of 1998 <--- Please note the date.
Then he explains that the bill he signed was a relaxation of that bill, endorsed by GOAL.
The part that got misrepresented by the press, and is often misunderstood by the public, is when he explains that the bill he signed brought the language of the original federal AWB over, and it was applied to the EXISTING MA AWB.
The MA AWB didn't have a provision or exemption to allow for semi autos or as an example, a tubular magazine for instance.
All the original MA AWB used for criteria was the round count a mag was capable of holding.
By using the federal AWB language, that and many other exemptions were applied to the MA AWB, and as a result, some 700 different firearms (by GOAL's count) were made legal again, after the 1998 law banned them.
Any other questions?
The guy asking the question, sounds almost as confused/misguided as some of the members here.
And by the way, I have posted this video on this forum myself.
I'd like to know why the original youtube labeled it the way he did, but he probably didn't understand either.
You keep saying it, apparently, because YOU want to believe it.We keep saying it and you WON'T listen.
I have linked the original, unamended MA AWB law more than once in this thread Misterbill, along with the amendments Romney signed. And yes, the AWB in Mass WAS slated to expire. We didn't expect the legislature to LET it expitre, but we didn't expect our newly elected Republican governor to side with our enemies.
I'm going to have to disagree with your assessment. Obama had a good deal of positive momentum in the Democratic primaries - especially with minorities and young people. Romney on the other hand generated very little excitement among the Republican base until after the primaries were over and he became the party's nominee. I'll bet if we turned the clock back a year and took a poll on this website Romney would end up mid pack among the Republican candidates... at best.
I don't think the mormon religion forces you to have more than one wife.
Pretty sure Sharia forces you to do all kinds of things.
That's why I put Jamie on ignore. This thread reads a lot better without all the bs. Can't get with reality, wants to sub it for some Rush Limbaugh sponsored fear emergency where everyone who isn't a Mitt lover is an Obama lover, without a single nod to reality. We keep saying it and you WON'T listen.
Lest anyone forget. The Republican governor of MA signed an extension to the AWB and screwed over a lot of good, well meaning and law fearing people. Yes, I said that right, law fearing.Misterbill said:And yes, the AWB in Mass WAS slated to expire. And your point is?
This forum doesn't represent - alas - a cross-section of voters. Romney would be in there somewhere, presumably, but you are right, hardly a front-runner. But he emerged from the pack because more people voted for him in the primaries than voted for the other guys. That's democracy in action.
Pretty basic math and pretty basic politics.
I've actually met Romney, very briefly. He's not a monster, and I'm not certain he's comfortable with the meet-and-greet kind of thing a political candidate has to do. But he's got a better understanding of business and economic issues, I believe, than the incumbent.
That must have happened somewhere in that fantasy world where Pelosi and Biden dwell.Lest anyone forget. The Republican governor of MA signed an extension to the AWB and screwed over a lot of good, well meaning and law fearing people.
How much of his front runner status was due to him being the pre-ordained choice of the establishment?
As for business and econ issues, that's for sure. He's well versed in buy, layoff, offshore, sell for profit. That's what Bain does.
I really dont think Romney is going to go after guns..
Don't think he will lift a finger to help remove any of the BS laws we already have! I feel more secure with him in 2nd amendment then Obummer.
However.. I still think as a politician he is a steaming pile and anti liberty.. walking a thin line between the Right and Left..
Is that really the best the R. party can put forward?????
Gun rights may take a turn for the worse if O gets reelected.
They may not change at all (although who knows with an anti-gun lame duck)
One thing is for sure. They sure as heck won't improve under him.
Romney isn't a friend of gun owners either, but I don't want to take the chance with Obama. At least Romney would have reelection motivation NOT to step on the toes of gun owners.
I have a feeling that a lot (not all) of the people who voted for Barack in 2008 did it for the following reasons:
1. He's black
2. He's the party line
3. They are closet socialists
