I was helping my 85 yo dad clean out one of his storage areas and we came cross a couple boxes of these... These have likely been in storage since the 80's. He doesn't remember what they are or where he got them. I liked the box, so he gave them to me. Anyone have any info about these?

The Germans inherited large quantities of M1 carbines after WWII, so it makes sense they'd ramp up domestic production of ammo.

That's what I read as well.
Grandparents were Pennsylvania Dutch and learned that language before they learned English.
