People who request a technician to solve a problem and when I the technician tells them what the problem is, in short, I'm told im wrong.

Devolved to the point where I said a device that supplied power had failed, they disagreed, they turned on a device that was believed to use that particular power supply, I unplugged that power supply from the outlet and the device that was turned on, stayed on...

Am I the A$$hole?
S/W devs have much the same issue; we get asked about a defect, or some other issue, so we tell the truth, give an estimate as to how much time/effort it will take to fix/do something, then get told "oh no, that is too long/too much".

Management hired us because we are the experts, but they never believe us about what it takes to fix a problem or do some task - they are the experts on that. :s0054: :mad:

I am so glad I am retired and I don't have to deal with that BS anymore.

I am keeping my eyes open, but I am resigned to the fact that I will probably have to pay as much for the anchor as I would for a cheap winch.
Pardon my ignorance, but from looking at the design, would a large fluke anchor work the same way? I've seen them at yard sales for $20.

I was just looking at them too. But the angle of the pull is different.

That said, I may just have to resort to making my own from a boat anchor.
Won't work, the whole idea behind a Pull-Pal is the digging action of the lever, the more you pull, the deeper it digs, and the spade doesn't really need to be all that big for it to do what it does, pure genius and simplicity!

When someone posts a YouTube/video with an intriguing headline, like something that I'd really like to see, but the video is 15+ minutes long, and they don't give a timestamp where the relevant part begins. Basically, they just lead me to make the classic "TL; DW" response... 🤬:mad:🤬

@ma96782 and @HiFi Magnetics, I'm lookin' at you... 🫵

As Sweet Brown would say...

Ain't nobody got time fo dat.jpg
