I believe the Ranger we had at that truck shop had the Isuzu engine because that truck had been re-engined.
We had a contract with Isuzu (among others) and I think when the head went on that Ranger, they just had us plop a similar Isuzu engine in it, which just happened to be the C223.
Ah, that makes sense. Thanks for the edification.

Short trips to‭ ‬town‭ & ‬back I drive a‭ Crysler Pacifica.‬ On longer trips I drive a 1500‭ Dodge ‬Ram pick-up truck.‭ ‬When going to dog shows,‭ ‬I drive a Class C motorhome‭ – ‬a Winnebago View.‭ ‬But what I really like to drive is my side by side,‭ ‬a Can-Am Maverick Trail‭!

My latest endeavor, car has a good amount of work done to it. Already had to go pull it out of the woods in the middle of Randall Washington. It is a 1989 Ford mustang GT with a 5 L. It has some head work done a five speed transmission with a stage three clutch 4.11 gears five point roll cage and some other small goodies. Stay tuned to see how it'll look in a few months.

What's that color called? Bruised or Beaten?

🤣

Ha ha trust me I know it's bad but I traded a dirtbike for the car so I can't really complain too much. I also am in the automotive painting field so it will be painted flat black here very soon along with satin black wheels and all black windows, you will be singing a different tune with the next set of pictures ha ha but in all seriousness, for now I'm calling at the purple people eater !!

I think he intended to put the word 'magnet' in there. Very late production '89's were '25th Anniversary' models with interior badging. I had one of the last '89 coupes, 5.0, and 25th Anniversary badging. The badging was apparently based on month and year of production, not model year, most '90's were anniversary models, but they had steering wheel airbags.
