We can load 9mm hollow points cheaper than you can buy Blazer 115 plated FMJ. And the prices on Blazers aren't going down lately.
In case anyone doesn't realize we have entered into a world wide powder and ammo shortage.
Follow Bi-Marts price on 9mm and 223 that they used to run versus now.
Follow American Reloading's 9mm prices.
Talk to an FFL and see what is happening with ammo prices and availability.
Yes, I sure can load and shoot beautiful Rocky Mountain Reloading Nukes cheaper than you someone can buy cheap 9mm fmj ammo.
And I will continue loading and shooting my JHP 9mm ammo.
My suggestion is people stock up now while they can cause another shortage is on the way.
Don't want to be the one saying the sky is falling but our hobby is subject to a cyclical market and it is cycling again.
Over and over again.

I had to swap out my 17/5.56 barrel today cuz it just won't go 20 rounds before it starts to shotgun. I surmise that it's my bad for running 4,200 FPS for two many rounds getting the barrel real hot too many times. The new barrel I've been sitting on for just this occasion has a shorter chamber by .011", which is actually in spec, and the bolt would not go into battery with the longer brass for the longer chamber. I first did the 100 or so cases that were primed and had to wipe the lube off by hand, but the rest I'll be able to tumble. What a PITA.

Forgot to mention the reloaders version of Gut & Amend of already loaded rounds for the old chamber. Dinky boolots easy pull with no damage.

Because the seasonal range that I belong to is so late in opening this year, I haven't been expending ammunition. I've run out of empties in all handgun cartridges to reload. I've got some .223, .308 and .30-06 prepped brass that isn't loaded, but those are on hold because I've already got some much of that to shoot first.

I stuffed my last empty .38 Specials today. 9mm was finished a few weeks ago.

Might have to dispute that. Of course I don't really load 9. I load 9+P and Major.
Gents,

I was kidding! I was poking fun at those who flatly state it's not cost effective, when it is.

I load 9mm all the time

I was loading 9mm from almost the beginning. When PMC 9mm was $199.00/K. Yeah, I was a late bloomer, started reloading in Nov 2011. Only on caliber I don't load is 7.62X39. I have only once bought new brass. That was a 500 ct Star-line .45 long Colt.

Finished resizing 17-5.56 brass for the new barrel. I made up two more loads to try next week in an effort to calm down the carbon build up in this thing. If I still can't get past 15 rounds I'll be done with it. Got too many "rat" guns anyway lol.🤔

I started to switch the press from 5.56 to .300 BLK to load up some supers, then checked the brass and realized I have to process the BLK brass first.

Stopped. Went inside and mixed a drink instead.
