Picked this knife survival tool up a couple years ago at a gun show. Put it up on the shelf and kinda forgot about it. Was looking at it the other day and thought I would post on here and see if anyone knows anything about it.

Very interesting piece. The crosswise threaded hole is a bit of a mind-bender though.
If I had to guess, I'd say some kind of leather working tool. Maybe something a cobbler would use for boot construction & repair?
