Bloomer Droppers tonight.
Didn't have fresh peaches (of course) so used Costco's frozen organic morning blend (peaches, mangos, strawberries, pineapple) and it was wonderful. I think any frozen, or fresh fruit would work great.
We used a new to us vodka, Platinum 7X, and It's super smooth. I'd like to do a side by side taste test with Grey Goose. I think the 7X would hold it's own.
Cheers!

What, no flowery, sprawling, descriptive loquaciousness extolling its libationary virtues? o_O
I'm a little tired this evening (22:05 here in Barcelona) and almost forgot to post... thanks @sobo for the nudge 🤣😂🤩

My sweetie and I spent a few hours exploring before deciding to have dinner in the flat.

Luckily for me, there was a cold Cruzcampo waiting in the fridge…

Cruzcampo Pilsner - Quick Review

Light, crisp, and built for hot days. Mild malt, soft bitterness, very easy to drink. Not complex, just refreshing.

Verdict: 6.5/10

Better ice cold, in the sun, with nowhere to be.😎

What, no posting of the ABV for @Mono1

You're really falling down on the job, Jimbo... :s0123:

You're right, I completely dropped the ball for @Mono1… ABV on Cruzcampo Pilsner is 4.4%. 😅😅 🤣😂🤣

Low, easy, and clearly aligned with my "tired in Barcelona" level of effort tonight 🍺
I'll tag @Mono1 so he's sure to see the ABV reference... As for you...

Addendum... and now, the rest of the story...

What am I drinking tonight?

Ah yes… the classic Barcelona dilemma: a fully stocked wall of temptation and absolutely zero commitment.

To my left, Hendrick's whispering something about cucumber sophistication.
Straight ahead, Tanqueray judging me for even hesitating.
And somewhere in the back, a bottle of Maker's Mark quietly reminding me I'm still American.

Reality?
I stood there for five minutes pretending to be decisive… then defaulted to something easy and blamed it on "a long day of exploring."

Verdict:
Two-hour wait for a table… so we popped smoke and headed for the barn. Decision made.

But we'll be back… that "f*** your diet" sign hanging from the ceiling sealed the deal.🤩😂🤣😂

One of my old reliables from my Porto days… @Mono1 — ABV: 5.0% 🤩

Clean, light, and easygoing. Pale golden pour with a soft, slightly sweet malt note up front and a mild, dry bitterness on the finish. Nothing bold or complex, just smooth and reliable.

Verdict: 6.5/10
Best ice cold, on a warm afternoon, when you want something that goes down easy without thinking too hard.

Voll-Damm Doble Malta

Deep golden/amber pour with a richer body right out of the gate. You get toasty malt, a touch of caramel, and a more pronounced bitterness that actually sticks around. It's still smooth, but there's some backbone here.

There's a subtle roasted note and a clean, slightly dry finish that keeps it from getting heavy, even with the extra malt.
ABV: 7.2% @Mono1

Verdict: 7.5/10

More flavor, more weight, more attitude.
Has some muscle, but still easy enough to enjoy on a Barcelona balcony. 😎

Killing time while my sweetie gets a mani pedi… and the beer gods smile upon me, there's an Irish pub literally across the street from the nail salon…

Guinness Draught

Jet black with that iconic creamy head. Smooth from the first sip, roasted barley, coffee, a hint of chocolate, and almost zero harshness. Light-bodied for a stout, which is why it goes down so easy.

ABV: 4.2%
Verdict: 7/10
Not heavy, not flashy… just ridiculously smooth and dependable.
