If you have kids and particularly girls, you should be aware of this...

Apparently a kid...a boy of course...in a NJ high school used AI to generate nude photos of several of his female classmates...and then circulated the photos. Now because these are minors, child pornography laws were likely broken in this case. But I wonder if there are any current laws that would protect adults in a similar situation. It's immoral and reprehensible, of course, but is it currently illegal?

AI-generated pornographic images of female students at a New Jersey high school were circulated by male classmates, sparking parent uproar and a police investigation, according a report.

Students at Westfield High School — located in Westfield, a town about 25 miles west of Manhattan where the average household income is $259,377, according to Forbes — told the Wall Street Journal that one or more classmates used an online AI-backed tool to create the racy images and then shared them with peers.

remember when people would literally cut and paste heads onto playmate centerfolds?

Remember when people would literally airbrush or make drawings and paintings of famous celebrities in the nude (think Alberto Vargas, Earl Moran, etc)?

Remember when people used photography tricks to literally retouch and blend such things?

Remember when kids would use Polaroids?

Remember when photoshop first came into use?

Remember Deep-fakes?

Exactly where my thoughts went as well. This behavior isn't new, it's just newer and better technology now.

Teenage boys will be all over this. They will think it is funny. That is how their minds work. Remember, we were teenage boys once upon a time. I cringe at the thought of some of the things we used to do.

Yep I well remember my teenage years. I also well remember the cost of getting caught screwing up. The problem now is when kids are caught they have adults making excuses for them so there is no reason for them to learn to not be stupid. When some girl kills herself over this "prank" I hope those who say teen boys will be teen boys remember this. Teach them no responsibility and things get out of hand fast. :s0092:

AI being used to create fake child porn. And let's be honest, that's exactly what it is unless 100% of the faked students were late into their senior year... Which then begs the question of if distributing fake CP should carry the same weight as distributing real... I certainly think so. Faking it doesn't change the intent.

Courts tend to agree with that, even in "arts" (think fanart of popular cartoons). It's why most porn artists put a disclaimer of "characters are aged up to legal age" or are "original characters" not that it matters much, there's still the subject of "coding" in anime/hentai/Rule 34
