I buy frozen chicken on sale at Safeway for crab bait. If the crabs don't want it, I throw it on the Barbi.

Some times it's a little salty.

Well the interesting thing about the kept crab is they eat kelp most of the year. But yeah kind of gross to think about what dead things crabs eat.

Beat the water with a crab hawk out in Netarts today and brought in this ugly bugger. Can someone tell me what it is? I could Google Foo some pictures but nothing just like it.

BTW, other than the kelp crab there, did you get any Dungies to eat ? I love that bay.....always have. Even that time when the bosses A**hole son went to Tillamook bay and limited out and we only got 1 in Netarts.

We got one keeper with a rake, but probably a dozen or so that were too small.

Spider crab. My uncle ate one but he was from Missouri and ate alot of things. He also did 6 months on a chain gang for one gram of pot back in the 60's. His food expectations were probably not high.

It's a Kelp Crab. They are vegetarians Not weird at all. Well.....sort of...
