The only ones I've seen were on national match rifles built for competition and the strikers were identical. This is not a national match gun but it was rebuilt before world war 2. From what I have read they were in a crunch for guns so they used every part they had. Even the improperly heat treated bolts and actions got rebuilt for the war effort. I wonder if that's how this rifle ended up with the striker it has. The parkerizing is very good and it matches the bolt and striker. Either way this rifle doesn't look like it ever went to war after rebuilding.
I love the 1903s and 03-A3s. I'm currently really close to breaking open my piggy bank and buying an unissued and original Smith-Corona 03-A3. Being that it is in such pristine condition, of course the seller wants a premium price, but it would pair nicely with my unissued Remington 03-A3 that I already have in the safe and go well with my other WW2 arms.

Have you got some favorites which you would like to share? How about some show and tell?

Here's my latest acquisition; a CSZ M98/22 purchased from a NWF member. A Turk contract rifle, 8mm Mauser with a 98 action, mostly matching numbers except for the buttplate and bolt. Metal is all in the white except underneath the wood. Bore is in VG condition. I'm looking forward to some range time with her to see how well she patterns.

Beautiful rifle, thanks for sharing the pictures!

Thanks, bore is great, havent shot it but may test fire it,am sure it works fine.
I would suggest buying a firing pin for it before shooting and swapping it out. I've read that the firing pin is the most broken part in Lugers and if your firing pin matches the pistol it's cheap insurance to swap
it with a new one before shooting. You certainly don't see the brown holsters very often. That's a very nice setup! Here's mine.
