In hordes they came from miles around,
to trade for primers they thought they'd found
From a Sound called Puget and a Bay called Coos,
They'd robbed their kids of all books by Seuss.

Some came at a run and some at a gallop,
From Prineville, Pocatello (and even Puyallup).
Bookshelves bare in every child's room,
Just so Daddy could hear something go boom.

No Horton, no Grinch, no Cat in the Hat,
Not even the one where he eventually came back.
The children were crying to read about a Who,
Or how it would be if they ran the Zoo.

Moms couldn't take it, and when she is mad,
Things don't go well between a Mom and a Dad
They gathered the kids, matters in their own hands,
Took a trip of their own, a trip 'cross the land.

At first they really didn't have a hard plan,
But they knew they'd have to do what they can,
And so they traveled and so they assembled
Some said about 'em a protest they resembled.

To the source of the problem they soon drew nigh,
At Federal, Winchester and CCI!
The crowd had grown, news crews were there,
Then someone said it: yelled into the air,

"For the Children!" "For the Children!" "Make primers for the guns!"
(Because everyone knows THAT gets things done.)
Managers got nervous, started making decisions
About changes in production and even revisions

Dads brought back the books they'd swiped on the lam,
The Places You'll Go!, and Green Eggs and Ham.
Apologies they gave were mostly accepted,
But the kids to this day keep their Seuss well protected.

Actually, people are panic buying Dr. Suess books too. Check out Amazon's bestseller list in the link below.

The books' popularity shouldn't come as a surprise: they've helped generations of children, including myself, improve their imaginations exploring the fantastic worlds Dr. Suess created. Cancel culture gets stupider every day.
Check out the Amazon bestseller list, which is practically Seuss from beginning to end.

Y'know.... they're also probably going to try to ban primers too 'cuz they could be as dangerous to the Left as words

Hey, there have been at least 25 movies or TV Series based on Seuss books produced just since the year 2000. Obviously those should all be cancelled too, right? And everyone who did voices for them, right?

 :s0087:

Um...

There's something I definitely missed
Someone, somewhere, is butthurt and pissed
Could that someone have the name of Karen?
Take away this, and that...? "Oh yes", she's swearin'

To that I say, they're all so... dumb.

Probably because you can't get them anymore for under a few hundred dollars? I didn't do an extensive search, but all I could find is posted below (rare collector items). Note that the bestseller list is not simply bestseller from Dr. Suess, but current bestseller of all books sold by Amazon.
