I'm just curious where the community is with respect to physical books, ebooks, or some mix of both. (While hardly a Luddite after spending much of an adulthood in the technical sector, including stuff that has been keeping me insanely busy lately, I've shied away from ebooks, preferring those printed on paper. A few years back, I finally gave in, and went through a series of readers, now just use an iPhone for those. I still prefer hardbound and paper books I can put in a library though. Not really sure why.)

So, how about you? Nice physical tome or an electronic copy that drops to your mobile device in seconds? Some mix of both? Neither? Thanks for sharing. :)

I have a collection of physical books, about 1500 to 2000 first editions
of my favorite authors in the sci-fi genre. I've read them all but after being read
they are placed in a protective cover and placed on one of my shelves.
Some are 60 - 80 years old.

I am constantly reading ebooks, same genre and once read I save the file to
my computer where they are stored and I can read again if I want.
I get all my ebooks from Kindle Unlimited on Amazon.
$10 a month and all the books I want to read + videos and movies.
Keeps me from walking the streets at night................

If the author is alive and there is a chance of getting it signed, I'll tend to get the physical book.

Don't mind the ebook.... just not my preference.

Not an e-book to be found in our library. If you look closely you can find a few SFE's from NWFA members.

When I got to over a thousand books in my home...I quit counting.
I haven't quit reading....or the buying of or trading for books.....:D

A life long lover of real books here...and reading as well.

I tried e-books...just ain't the same.*
That said... I do have a few , some real books are just too damn expensive or difficult to obtain.
However...I did vote " physical books" , since the number of e-books that I own can be counted on one hand.
Andy

*No surprise there....but then , what else would y'all expect from a lover of flintlock and percussion firearms...? :D
