Why, it's just a case shot out of a fluted chamber.
When it comes to braces, there's always reason to be a dick.
But also, I was just joking. It might have been a terrible joke, but a joke none the less. Also, it was more of a pride month joke, in my opinion, but whatever.
Sorry I hurt your feelings, dude. Can I offer you a hug? Maybe a side hug if that's more your style.
That alone makes it special if you're an HK fan. Why, it's just a case shot out of a fluted chamber.
How it works with the tree rings is part of the interest. Why, it's just a case shot out of a fluted chamber.
Seems to me a lot of folks endow HK with qualities that aren't real. Probably due to being expensive and hard to get (similar to Cuban cigars - they aren't as good as some domestically available brands). Fe hk UMp .45 kicks like a 30-06. Not a great design but it must be good right cuz it's HK? No not compared to other designs. That alone makes it special if you're an HK fan.
I was thinking more along the lines of the MP5. Even with a not-great factory trigger and no LRBHO, it's still a pretty terrific platform. Plus it tags my brass for later retrieval.Seems to me a lot of folks endow HK with qualities that aren't real. So fluted chambers must be better right? No, they are a necessary design component for the roller locked system. Fluting in rifle calibers can create its own issues. For example here are some of my .308 cases. What looks different about them? Yep, the brass extruded into the flutes, making the case harder to eject. In other words it's doing the opposite of what they were intended to do, making the case more "sticky" in the chamber. The reason is even though hk, ptr, and others allowed for .308 to be used it's still a 7.62x51 chamber, not .308. That means it's designed for thicker cases. .308 cases tend to do this expansion into the flutes.

I love both mp5 and mp5k. 12.5" g3K (.308) is the funnest gun I own.I was thinking more along the lines of the MP5. Even with a not-great factory trigger and no LRBHO, it's still a pretty terrific platform. Plus it tags my brass for later retrieval.![]()
