As much as I dislike Wyatt Earp....
His supposed quote is relevant to the OP :

"Fast is fine, but accuracy is final. You must learn to be slow in a hurry ."

An excellent bit of shooting advice

A few decades of someone else paying for your ammo and time comes in handy as well.
I met him at the S&W dinner at SHOT last year, we had a good talk, and got to shoot together trying our the new models...one thing he mentioned that extremely surprised me, is he loads most of the ammo he shoots.

He asked me about powder, and where to get some at a decent price. I gave him my card and he has since got powder from me.

You'd think ammo and component companies would be falling over themselves to support him, but that's not the case.

I shot with him a long time ago when I worked at Gunsite. All his ammo those days were provided for him. Not that this means every round he ever fired in life was paid for by someone else, but I think you know what I meant.

The guy is a generational talent. It was definitely one of the highlights of my gun-nerdism.

Perfect practice prevents piss poor performance. He knows how to extract every ounce of information from every shot and every draw.
