vertical/angled foregrip question....

Arguing currently with someone on a forum who says ALL foregrips on a braced 9mm pistol are illegal according to the ATF unless SBR'd...its infuriating me because from what Ive read and seen on multiple forums is if the grip is verticle and the pistol is braced, , then it needs to be SBRd...if the pistol has a brace and an ANGLED foregrip, its still legal without the SBR tax stamp........am I right or wrong here? I know that this may change in January, but these guys seem to think any form of foregrip on a pistol makes it need the tax stamp...anyone?
