Been looking to pick up a trade other than the general stuff I've learned while working in manufacturing. Been in manufacturing in one aspect or another since the day after I turned 18. Worked in roto molding for some years, hemp farm after that for a bit while I was in-between jobs and now have been doing QC/assembly of smaller electric motors for the past 4 years. Been torn for years on if I should pursue machining or welding, havent done either since HS. Leaning towards machining because it would translate better into my hobbies, but from other tradies I've talked to welding would allow me to travel more. I have a decent chunk of change I've saved for buying a house but due to current market being bubblegum it'll be a while before I buy so figured I should use that money to expand my abilities and open doors to a higher paying career.
