I can not find the article, but just heard this on the news.

Mayor of Portland looking to ban people from using earbuds, or head phones in the city to help combat hearing loss.

Now I can not stand anything quite as much as people walking around in a state of total oblivion because they are "plugged in", but talk about trying to control the population.

Couldn't find anything related to Portland but Bloomberg has a public safety campaign to warn people about the dangers of loud music. Isn't that how the high capacity soda ban started there?

It went away when people started thinking that the government will take care of everything... Money, Health Care, how much pop to drink and how loud to listen to our music. Wait my parents covered all those things while I was growing up...
