I was looking through the NRA's "The Armed Citizen" articles and did a search in Oregon. There are a lot of interesting articles in there. Odd that many are in eugene, what's up with that? I thought this one was pretty cool.. It's old but good.

Suspecting something was amiss in his Portland, Oreg., home, 68-year-old Robert Simmons fetched his pistol and began to search. The homeowner found his quarry--a burglar hiding beneath a bed--and led him at gunpoint to a phone, where he forced the intruder to call police and ask to be arrested."
