GOA: Media Demonizes Apparent Self-Defender Kyle Rittenhouse | GOA
August 27th, 2020 For immediate release GOA: Media Demonizes Apparent Self-Defender Kyle Rittenhouse Springfield, VA – Gun Owners of America (GOA) Senior Vice President Erich Pratt released the following statement on Kyle Rittenhouse’s citizen-involved shooting: “Based upon publicly available...gunowners.org
Watching the severely edited video that made general distribution on the networks (my first exposure to the incident), my very first impression was,
"Boy! that crowded street of peaceful protesters sure cleared out in a hurry."
I was just catching up on posts after I left last night..... This thread has really devolved! Sad to see all the personal insults and attacks flying. We are better than this!!!!
THIS: "There is a lot of sentiment to the idea that he shouldn't have been there in the first place"
Hey everybody: There's a riot going on really far away, gather up your guns and let's go stick our noses in.
Good idea, eh?
I'm ok with the idea of citizens gathering to defend lives/property/businesses. What bothers me is that parents of a 17yr old would let him get into that situation.
Not criticizing the unwise choice of the kid. He's a kid. But his parents are still responsible for him and should be horsewhipped.
What does age have to do with self defense?
Seriously? Anyone of any age should have the right to self preservation.
I'd love to sit on that jury.

Good morning Cate
Check out post #355 on page 18 , here in this thread.
The link answers a lot of questions about the "Why's" of the matter.
Andy
You are welcomeThanks!
I have been helping my husband on and off here and trying to catch up on this LONG thread.

This makes me happy. The kiddy fiddler had time to think on his dying, which now explains the audible whining. Happy trails, Hans.Apparently the child molester only got grazed in the head, this Kyle kid didn't miss
"Dr. Kelley of the Milwaukee Medical Examiner's Office conducted an autopsy on Joseph Rosenbaum. Dr. Kelley indicated that Rosenbaum had a gunshot wound to the right groin which fractured his pelvis, a gunshot wound to the back which perforated his right lung and liver, a gunshot wound to the left hand, a superficial gunshot wound to his lateral left thigh, and a graze gunshot wound to the right side of his forehead."
The skate board tango took one through the heart and liver, if it was the same rounds that made lefty a lefty, then that would explain why he only took a step or two after getting hit.
