He's not a victim of the system (it's too early to tell how this will play out in court and details of the first shooting he did are still missing), he's a dumb kid that got himself in over his head and for whatever reason, shot somebody at the first shooting, ran away, and had to shoot several others. It seems he's basically a good kid, but his parents should be horsewhipped.

And while he was 'running toward the police', failing his arms the police probably couldn't hear him, (given they were inside the armored vehicle) didn't see him or considered him another rioter and kept moving.

What he SHOULD have done is stayed at the location of the first shooting and called 911 and reported it. AND - before a response of 'Well he was in fear of his life so he had to run' is posted he was calmly on the phone with someone while others were giving aid to the shot guy - which he should have been a part of considering he was in Kenosha to provide medical aid according to the report about why he was there in the first place.

His mistake was leaving the area and heading back into the affray.

While he MIGHT have been attempting to turn himself in a call to 911 and then seeking cover and concealment until help arrived would have been his best course of action.
Our Corpsmen were armed to the teeth, in Vietnam.

He was chased off by the mob and rather than gunning them down he ran.

Actually if you watch the vid of the first shooting, there is nobody chasing him when he decided to run. He was on the phone saying he just killed somebody. Don't know why that happened, But it's all fruit of bad judgement.

How do you know he wasn't calling 911? Cover and concealment would have been his Alamo. There were 3 regular patrol cars there as well. The officers in second armored vehicle he stood in front of honked for him to get out of the way. He approaches a patrol vehicle with two officers in it and he is told to back away.

if he was up there as part of a group, at least some of them had to be adults, why did they let an untrained armed 17 year old alone in the middle of a riot at night?!?! He probably doesn't even know what cover and concealment in a violent urban environment means
even the Boy Scouts don't leave a scout out by himself

I think I'll wait till Tuesday to do my Monday morning quarterbacking. Just too much information that is not available yet.:s0092:

He ran straight to the police.

Nope, you are missing the vid of the very first shooting by the cars. This was after he shot somebody, but before he was seen running down the street with people chasing him. He turned and ran from what he had done. Maybe a good idea, give the history of attacks on people that harm or attempt to harm protestor/rioters, but I couldn't see anybody harrassing him when he turned and took off.

Nope, he shot the first short loudmouth ghetto wannabe, got on the phone, and then ran toward the police. Someone yells, "hey, that guy shot someone!" and they give chase. He goes to the ground, dude tries to kick him and gets shot at. Then he shoots skateboard dude, them the guy with the gun in the elbow. He then gets back up and runs to the five police vehicles at the intersection.

...
But the video clearly shows them (rioters) attacking him. I hope some organization helps pay for his fees. ...

The firm which represented Nick Sandmann is representing Kyle pro bono -- they expect to have a site set up to accept donations on Kyle's behalf soon (pro bono means the attorney works for free, but experts are still expensive).
