I picked this rifle up awhile back and it's missing an important part. Just wondering if anyone else has one ? and if so, what type of rear sight is on yours?

I have seen what is on the Taylor's website, but the base looks a little different.
@AndyinEverson maybe you would have some input?

I have not shot this one yet I do have a few hundred bullets for it. I need to put together some ammo for it. Its a .54 cal and the base of the bullets have a small groove that is for a tie string. So it uses a small bag of powder behind the bullet.

Very cool Sharps copy you have there Velzey.
Those paper cartridge Sharps are neat.
It looks very close to a Sharps 1863 sporting rifle.
They came from the factory with a ladder style rear sight.
As rick benjamin found , parts for the 59 / 63 will work for your rifle.
Hopefully the base will fit ...Dixie gunworks might have the one for a Taylor imported one ...
I'd pick a 63 carbine sight.
We made the rear sight for our Sharps rifle ... Its just a "semi-buckhorn".
I have shot the 59 and 63 Sharps carbine copies and have found them to fun shooters.
Dixie GunWorks has the cartridge fixin's for you.
( you can also just use cigarette rolling papers , and 2F powder)
Wish I could be more helpful...

I had found the Taylors websight and sight a year ago and ordered just the winged base. It is different than this one. This could be one of the older Taylors, i'm not sure. Then it was a real pain sending it back and refund. So I gave up with them.
But, I very may well just use a nice Marbles semi buckhorn, or a full buckhorn on it.
