Member here got me some extensions for a couple mags. This should help burn through more 22. The tandem ones allow for 21 rounds. The 3D printed one up it to 25. I'll be testing them thoroughly soon. Only con is to operate you must remove the loading thumb tab. So now I have to load the old fashion way, or look at getting a mag loader like the 22 maglulu.

I have the Galloway Precision +9 round extension and use the loser that came with the pistol, works great.

My buddy at work did the same thing to his SR22 Ruger (extended magazine baseplate) and found that it wouldn't hold open on the last round. Can't remember if the Taurus does this anyway....

I called Taurus again today. They said they still can't send me a barrel yet, has something to do with year-end inventory? They said try again next week.

Another thousand, or so, through it today. Had a few others out today too. The Ruger Wrangler is a fun little six shooter! Other than a few hiccups on the last round out of one of the mags with the +9 floor plate, it ate everything I feed it today. Slide held open with 3/4 with the extensions. The Tandem Kross extensions worked flawlessly!

"Taurus herpes", now that was funny! Yes, Taurus had some problems with their guns. If you remember the 1960s-1970s-1980s-1990s-2000s-2010s, 2020s, S&W put out some HORRIBLE pistols! So did Colt, so did (put your favorite company here). Billy Ruger needed/used CONgress to ban imports, high cap magazines and "assault weapons" because the crap that Ruger was turning out, like the Mini-30, wouldn't work/was horribly inaccurate. Always remember Billy Ruger was NEVER pro-gun for "the masses", which he despised, that is why they are the "gun maker for RESPONSIBLE gun owners", leaving Colt, Winchester, Savage, etc., for the rest of us. Go read his bio if you think I am wrong.

MOST people who hate Taurus have never shot one. When you run into a Taurus hater, ask them, and KEEP asking them, until you get a yes or no answer. 99.99% of the time they will dance around, and around, and around until you pin them down and the answer is "no they have NOT shot a Taurus", followed by "but/however/I knew a guy/I know a guy who knew a guy, etc., etc."

Horrible customer service? Try Ruger, Henry, S&W, Kimber, etc., first and THEN tell me how horrible Taurus is. I keep hearing all the "company X has GREAT service", but the shop I work at has had the exact opposite. Are the other people lying about the service? Well, I'm not going to say that, but I wonder if they are the same people who hate Taurus but have never shot a Taurus either... If YOU have sent a gun back and got great service, I am happy for you, but as the saying goes, "YMMV", and I can only state what happened to me. Also, I am more concerned with what the factory puts out the door more than I am with what the company will fix (or more generally WILL NOT fix) when caught. If I buy a "silk purse", I don't want to find out it is really a pig's ear and can be "turned into a silk purse, by only spending two or three times what it cost to buy in the first place (maybe)"!

Thank you this ongoing review, Reno. It's cool to see that the gun holds up so well over that many rounds. I'm hopeful that mine will be a good one once I get a good barrel for it. :)

My pleasure. Gun is hands down fun to shoot. Eats everything, asks for more.

Id really like to swap sights on it for something more precise, but that's about it.

Your more then welcome to try my upper. I modded it with a Glock front sight (fiber optic Dawson Precision. I also blacked out the rear sight. Night and day difference, at least for me. YMMV.
I may break down and buy a set from Lakeline. For $50 bucks, it would be an improvement.

I like target sights for range pistole and competitive pistols when possible. All blacked out rear sight, big and squared. Itty bitty front sight with bright AF fiber optic post.

Just emailed Alfonse at Lakeline, see if anything like I posted above could be made. If not ill piece something together from various manufacturers I think. That Dawson front sight may do the trick up front!

Barrels I ordered showed up. Pictures of existing 30k barrel and the two new ones. Best I could do to try and get rifling. New threaded barrel has a better protector, it has more wrench flats. I'm digging the non threaded barrel. Might be worth using for times I just don't need a can, like speed steel. Not a bad investment, 2 barrels for under $100. What's the threaded Glock barrel cost again?

All of the magazine extensions came with (I'm assuming stronger) springs.
