I'm sure every scumbag on earth will look for secret spots if they have time. My buddy had an idea I still find valid and use to this day, l always leave some power tools and a piggy bank out where they are easy to find and steal by the typical door kicking scumbag. Once their slimy thief hands are full, they usually flee anyway. A couple of 100 dollar rifles and a crappy pump shotgun are in a cheap Homak locker, no ammo or firing pins.

The hidden mirror thing is useful mostly for keeping your go too guns and maybe some jewelry or watches out of plain sight and out of reach of kids or idiots.
