The stripped Receiver by itself is considered a Firearm..

But then there is that area of date of manufacture
Used to be that pre 1898 was not considered a firearm...

Yes its still a firearm it will chamber and fire...Dont advise that..Was a guy making 7.62x54R barrels for these old demils
