Email I saw today,

Hello Solvent Trap Customer,

I can't believe I'm writing this email. At this stage, I would like to tell everyone that I am under investigation by the ATF, and the US District Attorney is targeting me.

I was on a hunting trip with my eldest son (I have three kids) when the ATF raided my house and my shop. They came into my house with bullet-proof vests and guns drawn. It sends chills up my spine knowing that my children and my wife were petrified as this all happened, and I was not there. It was like they were after a drug kingpin.

Firstly, I want to reiterate to everyone that has an outstanding order with us that I will refund your money if you have a pending order with me. At this stage, the ATF has seized my personal and business computers, and I have no way to get in my merchant accounts to initiate refunds. Though, I do promise you that I will refund everyone's money as soon as I regain access to my computers and accounts.

In the meantime, please refrain from initiating chargebacks or refunds. Every time a chargeback is initiated, it costs me an extra $30, and I need every cent at this stage to defend myself.

As a large percentage of you guys know me and know that I am honest and do everything by the book. I have done everything possible to abide by the law. I've been in constant contact throughout this business life with two specialist NFA lawyers, and I also have a letter from the ATF Firearm Technology Branch stating that solvent traps are perfectly legal to sell, own, etc. Every decision I made came from the advice of counsel.

Though, that hasn't stopped them from railroading me and scaring my family half to death.

I hate to ask this, but I need every bit of help I can get. If you feel that I have been railroaded here, I could really use some help. I'm fighting the ATF with everything I have at this stage to stay out of prison and continue to be a husband to my wife and father to my three children. If you'd like to support me and help me fight this, I will be forever grateful if you donate any amount of money to my legal defence efforts, please.

You may do this by visiting this link https://paypal.me/TigerCreekTactical

Believe me, ANY amount of help would be deeply appreciated at this moment.

If you have any questions, please let me know, you can always contact me at 863-439-1760 and although I may not be able to answer immediately, leave a message and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

P.S. I want to assure you that I'm not using any money from outstanding orders to fund my legal defence. As soon as I get access to my accounts, I will be refunding every cent to anyone that ordered and never received their orders. I'm struggling to sleep at night as it is, knowing that I'm holding money from my customers that I can't even refund. Please, have a little patience and support me if you can, and please do not initiate any refunds or chargebacks as it costing me money personally at a time when I need every cent that I have right now.

Thank you for your continued support, and please keep me in your thoughts and prayers.

Watched the videos a while back and even visited the site. That was the extent of it.

I'll preface this by saying NFA34 is as unconstitutional as it is outdated and ineffective. Furthermore, the amended definition of what constitutes a "silencer", which can include some pretty basic items, manages to make that aspect of said law even more draconian and asinine.

That said, this news isn't surprising. They were basically selling nearly complete cans, that require a few holes drilled to turn them into a silencer. Heck, something as a common as dish scrubbing pads were at one point declared an unregistered silencer, under certain circumstance. I hope he prevails and walks a free man, but the history of these kinds of cases makes me think he is royally screwed. Until suppressors are reclassified, these sort of cases will only continue.

A friend of mine went to prison in the 80's doing stupid crap like this. I have LONG told people the BATF has ZERO sense of humor when you play with them. I did some REAL dumb stuff when I was a kid. The big difference was I was not selling the stuff mail order, at shows, or now days setting up a web site. This is just begging for trouble. I DO NOT like the Feds doing this but, you poke the bear, you bet bit. I accidentally found Amazon selling the stuff to make a suppressor a while back which kind of shocked me. I was looking for a 1/2 28 tap and die and all this "people who bought that also bought..............". At first I could not figure out WTF was going on. Then it hit me. They are selling something as a "fuel filter" that is being used to make a suppressor. I can't remember if it was Amazon or a 3d party seller. If it was a 3d party seller they are asking for trouble playing with this stuff.

I can tell you as the retard that invented and sell's 80% Glock F/A kit's.
They didn't have a Tech Branch determination letter as to the legal status.

I do.:)

ANY part of of suppressor is a suppressor. Thank Su-Press-on and Cobray for that one. (1980 )

There is another company that sells a 'solvent trap' adapter that is pictured as being used to attach a plastic water bottle to catch solvent/patches. However the company sells the same exact item as a serialized suppressor which you attach an oil filter to.

These sorta seem to fall into the same category as all the ways people have been sea lawyering the SBR rules with pistol 'braces' which more and more look like stocks that you just 'don't shoulder' as you said I don't really agree with a lot of the laws however as long as they are in place it's stupid to poke the sleeping bear in the eye and then complain when you get mauled. This company knew exactly what they were selling and what it was intended for.

At least they didn't shoot his wife in the face, kill his kid, rape the dog and burn the place down...yet.

Glad I'm not on a list of customers awaiting shipment.
I'm sure the ATF will be "contacting" all of his past and present customers about their "illegal" items.

Maybe I'm just a wuss, but I worry about all of these convenient loop holes in current laws. You'll never see me own a AR/AK pistol or any 80% products. I'd rather just get an SBR stamp and not have to worry. The bump fire stock is another thing to add to the list of questionably legal products.

ive heard on the internet about potatoes doing a better job at catching solvent from all those leaded up 22s. like a one time use thing somethinorother.

Crap, I had no idea what a "Solvent Trap" was until I googled it. I didn't actually look through the results until after I posted above but almost all of them are for "what size freeze plug fits in a Maglite" and how to make a suppressor. I'm sure all of those people filed the correct forms with the ATF to make their own legal suppressor :D

Poor guy. Looks like the BATF felt stupid because another person found a way to skirt their asinine laws. And technically until you punch a hole in that tube body or end cap its not a suppressor.

I think Ive seen videos by this guy. He seemed legit.

All that money spent on transportstion and wages of ATF agents to raid his house and for what?
If people use said product in a way that is against the law, then thats on them. We've seen that with the arm brace rulings.

In fairness that was the FBI.

Rumor, same "sniper" who shot Vicki, was also at Waco.

For the FBI to investigate Horiuchi is somewhat like Hitler's investigating Himmler.

But no matter what Reno and Freeh and Rogers and Horiuchi may say, that case is not closed. Whether Horiuchi committed a procedural error at Ruby Ridge is not important. What he committed was a mortal sin, and that sin will find him out. The only appropriate demise for this man now would seem to be the traditional route of sepukku, with which he should be familiar. If he needs a proper knife I have one, which I will provide to him upon request.
