snub-nosed .. if that's how the factory made it
snubbed-nose .. if the barrel was shortened (or you purposely and obviously ignored it at a party)

Well, We always called um Snub-Nose, I hear them referred to all the time as Snubbies, or Snubbed Nosed, but I believe the classic term is SNUB-NOSE! IF you really want to get serious I would imagine a search of F.B.I. reports would yeld a definitive answer!
 
I got a cat named 'Stub' cuz he's a Manx and they don't have tails.

Short barrel revolvers are 'Snub-Nose''.

There's no such a thing as 'snubbies' or 'shotties' unless you're 5 years old and talk with lisp...

For reasons I don't understand, there's a segment of folk who like to infantilize words.

Another example: Calling flounder 'flatties' - when they do that sort of weirdo word-speak, I'd like to hand em a 'binky', a baby bottle full of warm mother's milk and a small 'blanky'...
