Smashing Pumpkins with M1 Garand!

We collect them from friends & family to feed to the chickens.

A couple years ago my wife got into making fresh dog food. This time of year the pumpkins get steamed and mixed with other ingredients (rice, steamed carrots, chopped cucumber, and shredded chicken or beef). The dog loves it.

To level the playing field, next time use "pumpkin proper" ammo for all the guns, 115 gr JHP for the 9mm, try a full load 125 gr JHP in a 6" barrel .357 Magnum revolver, and a 40 gr Hornady V-Max in a .223. It looked like the 30-06 had the only expanding bullet and a 12 gauge slug would not been nearly as dramatic as the No. 8 birdshot load.

Now if you want to get my attention...

Hole-saw a decent hole as close as possible to the top of the pumpkin. Fill the pumpkin full of water and re-try the test with some uber-expanding bullets.
