I am trying to be cool like @sobo , so I am now buying silver by the POUND. This morning I just bought another 1.625 POUNDS of silver! ;-)

(I'll let you all do the math on how many ounces that is that I bought ;-) )

Are you telling us that number in troy pounds or avoirdupois pounds?

1.625 troy pounds would be 19.5 troy oz.
1.625 avoir. pounds would be 26 avoir. oz.

I would expect that you bought in troy pounds, as that is the unit of measurement for PMs...
