Originally built with Krieger 1-8" twist stainless. Rem Varmint contour blank. 6.5-284 chamber. Started out as a Rem 700BDL in .270 Win.
Tubb hvy match recoil lug. Tubb High Speed firing pin assy. Upgrade receiver to 8-40 base screws. Added Nightforce 2pc base set with 20 MOA. Birdsong Black T finish and machined out chassis for larger recoil lug.

As for me, I've been shooting medium range with my 6.5 creed budget build. It's a Savage 12FV cabela's exclusive and it shoots alright. The SWFA SS is working great and tracks like a blood hound. The other day, I was out at a property my boss has access too and we were shooting 440 yards and banging 4" steel targets. My best 10 shot group of the day was an even 3". Typically I punch paper at 100 yards with this ol girl:

I took those pictures right after I got it (it didn't come with a scope) and before I put a scope on it. It has a Leupold VX-2 6-18x on it now.

Wow. It's a good thing I just joined. I only saw ONE other long range BR rifle pic.....though lots of cool long range plinking and hunting rifles.

I shot 1000yd BR in Tucson from 2005-2007, then I quit when I retired from the USAF and took a job back home in Oregon. Just this year I stated shooting long range BR again at Tri-County and Medford. Even though my loading, wind reading, and tracking is much more precise than 11 years ago I still haven't shot as well yet.

11 years ago I shot this rifle and the pic is the first time I set a club agg record. It's a 300 WSM.





This is what I shot this year, a 6mm Dasher. The best I did was a pair of 4.125" 5-shot groups at 1000 and a 1.5 at 600. I have taken no pics of any of my Dashser groups.

@Boboclown , that's a nice lookin rifle you have there. My first was a blued/walnut 77MKII in 30-06. It was probably the most accurate rifle I've owned so far. Your's looks like a magnum barrel to me. What is it chambered for?
