The requirement to allow scripts to use basic functions sucks Joe.
I run Firefox with NoScript, and just had a nightmare trying to reduce my "conversations" box count.

If I have to enable scripts to use the basics of this site, I will be gone in short order.
FYI, when I enable NWF's scripts, the number of additional script attempts triples on my NoScript list. Most of which come with warnings and or "untrusted" ratings.

    Please clean it up Joe.

Which scripts are you referring to?

The fact that I have to allow NWF scipts to clean out my inbox without selecting each "conversation" individually is what alerted me to the problem Joe.
I keep my NoScript on constantly, and it has saved me innumerable times in the past, like previously when this site was bugged, and a number of people were hacked.

Both of these can be blocked with no effects on the use of the site.

Many of the features on this site (and many other modern sites) utilize AJAX, which uses JavaScript. You don't have to use AJAX to use the site, but many of the more advanced features and conveniences do require it. This is not a third party script, but hosted locally on our server.

You can find out more here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ajax_(programming)

The internet is just like any thing else, it can be used for good or bad. Scripts can have vulnerabilities, but to resist a technological upgrade for fear of those vulnerabilities is akin to not leaving the house because you might get robbed.
