So why do the "special cause" folks get to have laws, culture and society bent towards them? How does a "minority" get catered to so often? Well, we are apparently a minority as gun owners and 2A law abiding citizens. When do we get politicians to cater to our cause and why not? This political one way street is getting out of control.

I always wonder what good public hearings would do in a situation like this? Say there is a public hearing, aren't a vast majority of people speaking going to be in favor this law passing? It is the Willamette Valley after all.

And I'm wondering, in this article is says "House members Jodi Hack, R-Salem and Rep. Bill Kennemer R-Oregon City were absent". Isn't this a pretty damned important thing to be voting on? And commenting on for the Republicans in Oregon? even if they know it will go against them anyway, seems those two don't care much about further infringement of the 2nd here in Oregon.

Also too many non deserving idiots get to vote. We make it so easy for them. Vote early. Vote often. Citizenship not required. Easy as pie. We are guilty as sin. We let this bad stuff happen. Like already said better bad politicians know we work hard.

Damage control? Dunno. Very late. Our Conservative Constitutional Ship of State is in bad shape. Lots of torp hits. Flooding continues. How long until we fill up? I for one need to reexamine my responsibilities for proper State Government. Not easy.

Not much point in writing my Senator (Boquist) but I used the form to tell him it was my opinion that attempting to disarm anybody was an act of war.

Just talked to a staff member concerning Jodi Hack not being present. She was out of state when the head of the rules committee, (D) Jennifer Williamson, called for the vote. Williamson made the decision at 9:20 that the vote would be held at 10:30.

Tell me again that gun control isn't partisan.

Everyone that voted for this bill is an enemy of the American People. SB719A is unconstitutional, they're infringing on our right to keep and bear arms. Relatives and anti-gun wives & girlfriends will abuse this bill and they know this. Is this another attempt to feminize American men? Can't cross wifey or she'll have all your guns confiscated. Unreal... Are they preparing us for an invasion? No more rifle behind every blade of grass??? All these anti-gun libtards will be the loudest to cry out when they're in a cage with bamboo jammed under their fingernails and eating a steady diet of maggots. Right, I'm not saying those would be tactics for us to consider either--just that when you have sane, rational people on one hand and violent crazies on the other and you have to please one and piss the other off, self preservation for the political class means you deal with the more immediate Torches & Pitchforks, then deal with the others later.

There is still a chance to stop this thing, but it will mean every gun owner we can contact will have to call these legislative creeps - both House and Senate - and put the fear in them.

This is a terrible Bill, and it WILL result in police officers being killed (frankly, I won't be surprised to see cops just refusing to serve the confiscation orders on psychotic, homicidal/suicidal nutjobs). The best that will happen is a lot of suicides by cop - and possibly some really horrifying incidents, such as an entire family being murdered - Remember, they're the ones who will be denouncing the supposedly insane person to the State.

Now, the 'Rats who are sponsoring this crap need to be put on notice of (1) the preceding (they probably haven't thought of the "Unintended Consequences", with their urbanite's limited mentality), (2) the fact that we, the Peasants with Pitchforks, *know* about all of this, and (3) when - not if, but when people start getting killed because of this bill they've rammed through without due process, we WILL hold them responsible.

We need to start calling them up and hammering those three points home with whatever sniveling little ninny answers the phone in their offices. The urban leftist legislators and (particularly) their staff ninnies can NOT tolerate dissent or criticism - and if you get through to them and make them understand that they're lining themselves up for being held *personally* responsible for the murders and suicides that WILL result from their passing this abomination, it WILL have an impact.

Honesty and shame are concepts based on God fearing values, what do you care? Your feelings about this are residues of moral values from people in your past who knew and loved Truth.

As far as what an atheist is bound by their religion to feel there is only nothingness, no good, no evil, rape should be considered as "good" as marriage, stealing as "good" as working for income. Robbing people of their "God given" rights, all same same, ho hum.

Salem is doing what it is doing because so many people in oregon don't know God's Word, it's only partly the wicked politicians fault, they represent those they think will vote for them. They know most oregonians are agnostic or atheist, there is no downside for them to do what is in their hearts.
