Very nice Smith & Wesson model 51. Do you have the original box, owners manual and tool kit?

I just have the pistol on this one. I was short on time earlier when i posted, but some additional info.. its a mod-51, serial 56xxx, they started at 52xxx so its a very low serial number, blueing is great, original grips as well.

If the serial number starts with M56XXX? 1972 to 73 late in the run.

From my research its only 4000 in which puts it early in the run. The serials started at 52xxx to i think 135xxx. Theres no m in front of the 56xxx. Theres an m2995 on the base of the grip

Are You getting the serial number off the bottom of the grip frame?

The number off the bottom of the grip is m2995. I also found original paperwork

Ok i see, im not an expert on the s&w revolvers, i thought the number on the bar thats visable when you rotate the cylinder out was the serial
