I took a spare stock 10/22, put it in a Blackhawk Axiom stock (around $70). Light, pistol grip, adjustable
LOP buttstock.

I've been debating going that route... I only have a takedown model tho. I've seen used 10/22 in my area sell for $180 ish out the door. This would be used for Appleseed and also to teach my son (when he is old enough).

Hey i would look at the tcr 22 ... I realy like it and my neace really really likes it... They are just a upgraded 10 22 and they shoot wayyy better and run just about anything for ammo ... You can pick one up at cableas with a red dot,case and sling for 300 bucks
