Surprised someone didn't already start a thread on this...looked, didn't find..

Time to repeal the Second Amendment, eh?

A Texas A&M professor’s remarks Friday about repealing and replacing the Second Amendment are getting plenty of attention this weekend, but buried in the story, as reported yesterday by the Daily Caller and Guns.com is an embarrassing revelation about the effectiveness of gun laws in the opinion of the legal community.

And this is how the Left has taken over many countries peoples in the past. It all starts with disarming the population, but you have to make the majority of citizens afraid of those with weapons before it is accepted. This language is dangerous and exactly why the founders put the Second amendment into the Constitution in the first place!!

We ARE at war with the Subversive education system in this country.

Dave, you say

The CT News Junkie reported right after Prof. Mary Margaret Penrose's appearance at a symposium at the University of Connecticut School of Law in Hartford that she "asked the audience — a room packed full of lawyers and law school students — how many of them felt the legislative and judicial responses to gun violence have been effective."

"Not a single hand went up," the report noted.

This suggests that all the rhetoric about passing "one more law," including a 15-page gun control initiative now gathering signatures here in Washington State, is political hot air.

Unfortunately I believe that your interpretation of this may be backwards, and that these people are probably not raising their hands because they are of the opinion that the proposed legislation isn't extensive enough.

I have no way to prove this directly, but it fits all known trends of the kind of opinions you would get out of the northeastern legal/political establishment.
