What is the best way to repair scratches in high gloss stocks as on Brownings?
Scratches are not too deep but about 1/2 dozen of them, probably from careless placement in a safe. I just bought gun and is in great shape otherwise with nice wood (it is a browning) and would like to fix damage without making it look worse.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

depending on how deep the scratches are this would help.

If the scratches are deep and into the color you may want to find a stain pen that matches the color then top coat with clear using a small brush. After the clear dries then wet sand with 400 grit and wax. I would see if you can find out if Browning finishes with oil or some form of varnish. May depend on the model of gun.
