You guys are awesome. I neither know you or associate with you other than this forum. I do however enjoy your points of view:eek:. To me, if I have applied a "like" to any of your posts, I consider you a friend. And to those I have not, yet, I am still looking. Thank you all for this site:).

OIC... I finally caught on to your screen name!!! Everson isn't a PLACE, how do they feel about that! o_O

:D
Sure it is.
Its a little town just about 10 minutes down for the Canadian border.
( maybe even less depending on how fast you drive!:D )

There are no hidden messages in my screen name.
Even if you play it backwards at midnight while listening to Led Zeppelin and lighting a black candle. :p

The good stuff is if you read between the lines.
Guns is science.
Dicking around is where it's at!

Nooksack ... One of our local tribes.
Everson is named after Ever Everson.
( guess his parents really liked the sound of the word "ever" :D )

Love the Northwest and it's funky place names. (Wallawallawashington!)
Ever Everson reminds me of that character in Heller's novel
Catch-22. He was an Army major whose first name was Major and his middle and last names were Major. Someone in the chain of command, seeing potential, promoted him to Major.
Major Major Major Major never got another promotion.

I had a friend in the 101'st Airborne whose last name was Major.
We were both Sergeants at the time ... And it was fun to see the looks on troops faces when I said :
"Oh fvck off Sergeant Major!" :D

But then I'm twisted that way.

You're braver than me. I was pretty much the unit smart-azz, but I was still a young kid, and our Sergeant Major intimidated the bejeezus out of me. Smart aleck cracks stop at E-9's doorstep.

Not sooo brave.
We were both E-5's his last name being Major ... Made some of my comments sound funny.

Sergeant Major couldn't shoot his way out of a wet paper bag etc ...

Our 1st Sergeants and above were like God on earth!
