I was afraid I would have to give up shooting to keep the tinnitus from getting worse.
From what you have said it looks like I won’t have to do that as long as I am careful about ear protection.

As others have said, you'll get used to it. Mine started out of the blue and comes and goes. It's worse in a very quite room and if it really gets annoying I'll put on some headphones and listen to a book on tape. It's like getting older, something you can deal with because the alternative isn't so cool. :)
