Property Tax Time Again

I want to commiserate with everyone who has to write a check for property taxes again. I just made my payment of $132.57 for my vacation home on 2.25 acres. Might have to get a third job if this property tax inflation keeps up.

Paid mine last week, it's two social security checks for taxes now.

Wish ours were as low. Paid $4K for last half year, last month for our 1200 sqft, 60 year old house in the Seattle area. Taxes/levies/etc. rising about 10-20% each year for last 4 years.

$64 for 20 acres.

Luckily I can split that into 2 payments.

In Tigard, 20% of my property tax bill was for ballot initiatives to fund govt programs that the people voted for.

Its frustrating. People of working age, living on government handouts, tend to always vote yes for bond measures that increase landlords rental property taxes, I guess they don't understand the concept, when you vote yes to increase the property tax of the home you live in, that cost is gonna get passed on to your rent payment, then they complain about the rent going up.
