I honestly hope that he does do some good for the economy. The problem is that his idea of helping people economically is just one giant welfare system (read - socialism) that takes money from hard-working people and gives it to people who won't work, and packaging it under the name of "redistribution of wealth."

You've summed up my feelings so eloquently that I should delete my post :s0155:

Oh, you mean like $750 Billion to Wall Street? I seem to recall that was a "Dubya" act of Socialism.

In fact the largest "redistribution" of public wealth in the history of the United States.

Obama's a breath of fresh air after 8 years of that pointy headed dip-stick, and Dandy Dick his paranoid draft dodging V.P.

It's pretty easy to hide behind a (D) or an (R) before looking at the bigger issues. But I say crooked is as crooked does. Like him or not, the last 8 years have been a total mess, socially, globally, and economically. I say we give the new guy a chance to clean up the mess before we sentence him.

I am partially in agreement with you. I hope for the sake of all of us that he does a good job with the economy. We obviously could use it. The reason that we are already "sentencing him" is because we are on a gun sight, and he wants to take away many of our gun rights! He said publically that one of his first orders of business is to revoke cocealed handgun permits! He also publically stated that he wants to put the assault weapons ban back in place and make it permanent. There is much more. Heck, he even publically stated that he wants to create a civillian millitary that is just as well funded and just as well armed as our millitary!

As far as other issues, I hope he can pull us out of this hole. As far as the gun issue, we already know he is a enemy as well as the staff he has picked.

What I think is so funny, is it's such a big deal that he's black. It's so "Historic", and everyone is trying to hard to grasp onto how big a deal it is.

But does anyone, at least here, really care that he's not white? Seriously?
So we have a black president. Big deal! I don't care that he's black.
