Portland show needs to get away from the Expo center and find a new venue to lower the costs for the vendors and consumers. They are trying to run the show like the old days, but times have changed so they need too as well. Gone is the "promoter" making this their living. It's the small clubs etc that can make Gun Shows stay alive.
Free parking = must
Low-cost entry = must (like $5)
Low-table cost for vendors = must

Heck be creative:
- give entry cost back if the consumer buys $100+ from one vendor. (Dealers that sell over $100, required to take $5 off in exchange for the consumer's "ticket" they paid for at the door. Dealer is getting that first sale so they are the ones "buying" the entry for that customer. It also encourages consumers to spend at least $100 with one vendor. win, win )
- give FFL dealers extra value, free 2nd table etc. KEY is more FFL and AMMO dealers with inventory
- limit the amount of NON-FFL dealers (except dealers where AMMO is 90% of their inventory) , they pay extra since they are not what draws consumers.
- limit the amount of NON-Gun related vendors, they pay extra+ since unlikely they will make a $100 sale. (jerky, kettle corn, trips, political)
