I sure wish more folks owned firearms , for reasons other than protection ( 72% )
And that 61% who think that it is too easy to legally get a gun is also troubling.

Why polls fail.
Many liberals would lie about owning a gun (embarrassment)
Many conservatives would lie about owning a gun (MYOFB)
Many (most) criminals would lie about owning a gun (shocker, eh?)

So, what insightful conclusion can be drawn from a poll that asks a question so many folks would lie about, especially when the sample size is less than 0.0016% of the nation's population?

Even if the poll is accurate, it doesn't necessarily translate into support for the 2A. Plenty of gunowners believe 2A infringements are fine and dandy.

Seems to me, based on the poll, that voter registration and party affiliation will be used for profiling in a heavier gun restriction environment.

Sampling in quantitative research always depends on a small sliver of a population. If it passes significance tests, it means something.

2015 Poll: 90% of gun owners on NWFA would either not answer a telephone survey or tell them they don't own guns even though they do.

How would you answer a telephone survey that asked if you own a gun?
